Overthrow, Protect or Transform – Which Estate/Letting Agent are you?

Most Estate and Letting Agents fall into one of three categories:

Your goal is to overthrow the biggest estate and letting agents in your town , to enter as a alternative to them. Your goal here is to cause vendors and landlords to change to your agency.

Or you might seek to protect yourself against an assertive and new challenger agent in town, improving or updating your work to keep landlords and  vendors from changing agents.

However, the most challenging and demanding agent to be, is the agent who dares to transform the property market, transforms the way agents are thought of in your town. Turning someone who doesn’t care about estate and letting agents into someone who cares about what you do.

If you choose the first two options, then let me be frank, all you are saying is : You can buy this from anyone, and we are anyone.

Do the third, and you will be unique!

Old school techniques of touting, landlords wanted leaflets, ring us for a free valuation, we have sold this in your street leaflets don't work anymore. Only one thing but they were doing it so well .. and reaping the reward in terms of decent listings and decent fees, happy staff, decent sales pipeline and exchange income, managed lettings portfolios in the many hundreds .. but more importantly, they really enjoyed the job… they enjoyed getting up in the morning and people looked up to them Over 400 agents around the UK are on a mission to change the way our Estate and Lettings agency profession is perceived and looked upon, doing it town by town, city by city. I guide these 400 agents, teach them, mentor them and support them to be seen in a different light, to be seen as the ‘go to person for property’, actually be the ‘local property expert’ and prove it.
