£30 million funding received to unlock 760 homes in the Essex
Positive news for the county of Essex as Homes England gives Swan Housing Association and Basildon Borough Council £30 million in order to provide 760 homes within Basildon. The regeneration programme will receive the loan in order to work on the Craylands Estate and Laindon Place – 110 homes will be affordable and the project will also include 7,000 m2 of commercial space.
The money is said to be coming from the government’s £290 million Estates Regeneration Fund which has funded over 100 programmes for new housing across the country within housing estates and town centres.
