Home improvement tips for the wine lovers

If you’re a bit like me, and have a little addiction to wine, you will understand that your home can really showcase your obsession.

There are a few ways you can improve your home whilst keeping wine in mind. Check out some of our tips below to really make your home stand out.

Kitchen

The kitchen is usually the place you store your wine, but this doesn’t mean it has to be boring. I know when I put wine in my fridge I barely have room for it, so this makes me want to give it a place of its own.

One of my favourite ideas is having a windowed glass fridge just under a kitchen counter, this can really exhibit your wine in its glory. As for your red wine, you can always create a great looking wine rack, this can either be free-standing or can fit under your kitchen worktop. There are many creative designs which you can find to suite your personality and kitchen style.

If you are looking to re-model your kitchen you can always be a little bit more extravagant. I really like the idea of a ‘wine wall’. You can really honour your wine by dedicating a whole wall in your kitchen to numerous bottles of wine.

Lounge

This might not sound like the first place you would store your vino, but how convenient would it be if you were cuddled up on the sofa and you could easily grab a bottle of red and a couple of wine glasses. There are lots of imaginative ways you can make it fit in with the current look of your living room.

There is a wide range of wine racks which would fit in with the décor of your lounge, but don’t forget to keep a couple of wine glasses in reach.

Garden

When we eventually get some good weather, what could be better than sitting in the sunshine with a crisp, cold glass of white wine? If you have a sheltered canopy, you can hook it up with electrics and install a fridge outside. This will be perfect for when you are enjoying the sunshine but don’t want to move very far.

Cellar

If you do have a cellar in your house why not convert it into a beautiful wine cellar? It might sound a little bit extravagant but it would be the talking point of all your family and friends. You could even add a seating area in the room so you can really soak up the essence of all those beautiful bottles of wine.

Whatever way you choose to showcase your wine just make sure that you keep the décor of your home in mind, as you don’t want anything to look out of place. If you are stuck for inspiration why not check out our pinterest board here.
