If you’re not using CGI’s yet, this is why you should be:

What is a CGI?

Computer-generated image or CGI for short, are illustrations that demonstrate a subject in full, as if you were viewing it in ‘real life’. Often used to display concepts not yet built, or depict subjects in chosen environments or situations, this advance in technology allows consumers to view products in their entirety, prior to purchase. CGI allows the accurate visualisation of items that may not yet have been constructed and provides a clear idea of how they will look once they have been produced.

What are these used for?

CGI’s can be used in almost every industry for almost anything through product design visuals, packaging, exhibition stand designs, large scale or long distance projects, architectural and technical visuals.

CGI’s are often used for one-off illustrations for a brochure, leaflet, banner or website where the product has not yet been physically produced or where no images currently exist.

What can CGI visuals do for you in the property and construction industry?

Concept development

During the design stage, a designer can explore the concept with you – adding or removing features, colours and other variations. Once finalised, generated “photo realistic images” can be used for market research and promotional collateral.

Marketing material

The visuals can be used for marketing and promotion purposes, using it to support printed material in marketing campaigns and online. CGI’s, virtual worlds and architectural visualisations provide you and your buyers a dynamic way of exploring buildings, interiors and environments.

The bottom line – it’s a fantastic tool to gauge and sell development and home designs before they’re actually built.

Engage with customers and investors

CGI visuals allow developers to create virtual subjects so that consumers can engage with their homes before production has even begun. Not only can it help business, but also prospective customers or investors to envisage the proposal within its early stages, thus enabling developers to identify and solve problems from the outset.

Eliminates restrictions

The use of CGI visuals removes the need of big production teams and you are not restricted by location, weather and other conditions – spectacular content can be created from the studio.

Multi-platform Asset

As budgets are being examined the cost benefits of CGI is becomes significant; as once a digital model is created it is a multi-platform asset than can be easily used and modified without having to pay for massive production bills.
