Network of Agents Celebrates Whirlwind First Year

A network which helps estate agents win more instructions in the land and new homes sector is celebrating its first birthday on Wednesday 28 June.

The Land & New Homes Network is a membership organisation based in Marlborough providing training, support, tools and connections for non-competing independent agents across the UK.

The network’s founder, Kevin Ellis, who has worked in the land and new homes sector for more than 15 years, said: “We officially launched a couple of days after the Brexit result sent shockwaves through the industry.

“I’d be lying if I said it didn’t cause me any concern but the appetite from agents to seize the land and new home opportunity was there right from the very start. In fact, it’s been overwhelming and we currently have members with 250 office locations across the UK.

“Before starting the network I thought there was a massive gap in the market which independent agents could fill by offering developers and land owners the level of service they need.

“We educate our members on the best ways to source land, identify potential sites, build relationships with house builders and much more including providing them access to leading property technology.”

LNHN’s Managing Director, Ian Stratford, who spent more than 11 years working as a director at the Relocation Agent Network, said: “The network is enabling independent agents to work together and make their overall offer far more appealing to house builders and developers.

“We help them speak the language of developers and identify the best ways to present their offer to them.”

Since its launch it has helped its members:

Handle £153m of land transactions.

Win £10.7m of new instructions.

The biggest instruction secured was £1m.

Provide £5.8billion worth of pricing to house builders and developers.

Kevin added: “The future looks very bright and will see us launch a comprehensive land lead generation campaign being rolled out over the next three months.

“We’ll also be hosting a series of regional charity golf days with the who’s who in the regional and national house building industry.”
