Landlord fined £2,551.10 for failing to fix problems for tenant
A private landlord has been fined a total of £2,551.10 for failing to deal with standard of a property for their tenant in Cornwall. A Stuart David Donnington who owns and lets out a property at Churchlands, Looe was found to have failed in fixing problems reported by their tenant to include issues with drafts and cold temperature.
Inspectors were called to find that their were poorly fitted windows and doors along with lack of insulation and central heating not working propery. Cornwall Council took action after the tenant complained and following two notices being served to the landlord to fix the issues within a set time – A later inspection discovered that the work had not been completed.
