Which high society event is home to the highest house prices?

The latest property market analysis by Enness Global, the world’s leading high-net-worth mortgage broker, has looked at which of Britain’s high society social events ranks top where the local property market is concerned.

Enness Global looked at 16 British social season events and the house price in the surrounding area to find the most prestigious in property terms. The research shows that on average, property prices in locations hosting these events average £776,417.

The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is the most prestigious where house prices are concerned, with the average property in Mayfair’s W1 postcode costing £2.3m.

The BBC Proms in South Kensington’s isn’t far behind. The current average house price in the SW7 postcode is £2.1m, with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Wimbledon the only other British social events with an average house price over the £1m mark (£1.6m & £1m respectively).

The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, the Henley Royal Regatta, Royal Ascot, the Royal Windsor Horse Show and the Glyndebourne Festival are all home to an average house price of more than £500,000.

The most affordable? The Grand National, with house prices in Aintree’s L9 postcode averaging just £112,494. At £276,348, Cowes Week is also one of the more affordable British social events where local property prices are concerned.
