5. Hang baskets on the stair railing
Use long, narrow plastic hanging baskets on stair railings to store gloves, hats, scarves, and thick socks for cold weather climates. As people remove these heavier items as they come inside, the baskets are there waiting for them to use again next time they go outside. The result is that everyone has their items available when they are needed.
6. Keep track of cords in the office
It is surprising how many cords are needed to complete a project when you add up the number of computer cords, phone chargers, and other electronic devices that need to be plugged in at one time. Use twist ties to bundle cords together in groups before wrapping them with Velcro tape or sisal twine to keep everything organized. Label each group with masking tape and a marker.
