UK House Price Index for January 2024.
The latest index shows that
- House prices climbed by 0.5% between December 2023 and January 2024.
- House prices were down -0.6% year on year, although this rate of decline has reduced significantly from the -2.2% seen the previous month.
- London saw the largest increase on a monthly basis with a 2.5% jump.
- New-build house prices increased by 8.8% month on month versus a -0.5% reduction for existing homes.
- New-build properties also increased by 16.6% annually versus a -2.4% annual drop for existing properties.
