Rightmove to launch Christmas campaign as bigger Boxing Day bounce expected

Rightmove, the UK’s largest property platform, is encouraging potential home-movers to get started with their new year moving plans by investing in a multi-channel marketing campaign launching on Christmas Day.

The campaign comes ahead of the traditional ‘Boxing Day bounce’ in home-moving activity on Rightmove, which typically sees new seller and buyer activity begin to ramp up after a quieter festive period.

Agents report that this year’s Boxing Day bounce could be even bigger than usual, with some movers who paused their plans towards the end of the year due to Budget uncertainty joining the traditional surge in activity. Research by Rightmove among more than 10,000 potential movers backs that up, with nearly one in five were waiting for the outcome of the Budget to resume their moving plans.

Running until the end of March 2026, the campaign will see Rightmove’s TV ad play out across key Christmas slots including The Great British Bake Off Christmas Special, the festive football fixtures on Sky Sports, and family films over the holiday period.

The campaign will also feature across digital, social, radio and outdoor channels. The campaign will feature a new festive outdoor creative, continuing the “If they can find it, so can you” message.

2025 in numbers for agents

The latest phase of Rightmove’s marketing campaign follows a year of ongoing support for agency partners and developers. Seven in ten estate agency branches now use the Rightmove Hub, with agents continuing their professional development through the training and education on offer.  In all there were,

  • Approximately 60,000 registered users of the Rightmove Hub in 2025
  • Approximately 32,000 enrolments onto free training courses
  • Nearly 30,000 registrations for Rightmove webinars
  • Nearly 10,000 agents enrolled onto CELA, the Level 3 Certificate for Estate and Letting Agents
  • Over 2,000 agency teams were created using Rightmove’s new ‘Teams View’ tool, which helps agencies to monitor and manage their staff training

A recap of 2025 products, tools and features

Driven by agent feedback, collaboration and business need, Rightmove released a number of products, tools and feature updates over the course of 2025. Some of the most recent launches for agents have included:

  • AI updates to Opportunity Manager and Discover products – two of Rightmove’s valuation lead products are now powered by a next-gen, AI -powered Vendor Prediction Model, which uses predictive insights from billions of datapoints across Rightmove
  • Online Agent Valuation – a new, digital way for agents to connect online with valuation prospects
  • Enhanced leads integrated with CRM providers – Rightmove’s pre-qualified rental leads tool now integrates with major CRM providers, making leads easier for agents to manage

Matt Bushby, Chief Marketing Officer at Rightmove says: “It’s been a really busy year, both for our partners growing their businesses and making the most of the products, tools and training available on our platform, and for home-movers continuing to turn to Rightmove first to make their next move happen. There is barely a moment to reflect on 2025 before the next major calendar moment arrives in the ‘Boxing Day Bounce’, with agents ready to launch new properties to kick-start the busier home-moving season in 2026. We’ve timed our latest campaign to ensure that browsing for fresh property listings and imagining that next move is front of mind as soon as Boxing Day arrives. There’s the added element of the Budget this year, and we want to help support the market at a time when some movers might also be coming back to market after a period of uncertainty. Agents have told us they expect it to be a particularly busy start to the year, and we want to help them hit the ground running by reaching the UK’s largest and most engaged home-moving audience.”
