Average annual rate of house price inflation was 3.3% in March says Your-Move
According to Your Move’s England & Wales latest House Price Index for March 2017, the average house price is now £301,278, a 3.3% increase since last year and 0.5% increase since February.
New peak prices were set in 39 of the 109 regions and counties in England & Wales, up from 26 last month and the West Midlands has become the region with the highest rate of annual house price growth at 4.8% according to the report.
Prices are continuing to slow in London and the South East with increases of 1.5% and 3.5% respectively.
Oliver Blake, Managing Director of Your Move and Reeds Rains estate agents, said: “In England and Wales, house price inflation continues but at a relatively low, though still positive, level. The average annual rate of house price inflation was 3.3% in March, slightly up from the revised 3.1% seen in February. From May 2016 onward, there has been a relatively gentle and almost straight-line increase in house prices, despite the Brexit referendum in June 2016. more…
