Average house prices in the UK have increased by 5.0% in the year to August 2017
UK House Price Index summary for August 2017 from the Land Registry published 17th October 2017 reveals that UK House prices grew by 5% in the year to August 2017, experiencing a 0.5 percentage point increase from the previous month.
The report highlights:
Average house prices in the UK have increased by 5.0% in the year to August 2017 (up from 4.5% in the year to July 2017).
The main contribution to the increase in UK house prices came from England, where house prices increased by 5.3% over the year to August 2017.
Wales saw house prices increase by 3.4% over the last 12 months, in Scotland, the average price increased by 3.9% over the year.
The average price in Northern Ireland increased by 4.4% over the year to Quarter 2 (April to June) 2017.
