Average price of a property for June 2018 in UK was £228,384 according to latest HPI from HM Land Registry

Latest UK  House Price Index Summary – June 2018 from HM Land Registry reveals that the average price of a property in the UK was £228,384.

The report stated that UK house prices rose by 3.0% in the year to June 2018, down from 3.5% in the year to May 2018. This is the lowest UK annual rate since August 2013 when it was also 3.0%.

The summary revealed that at the country level, the largest annual price growth was recorded in Scotland, where house prices increased by 4.8% over the year to June 2018. Wales saw house prices increase by 4.3% over the last 12 months. The average price in Northern Ireland increased by 4.4% over the year to quarter 2 (April to June) 2018.

In England, the average price increased by 2.7% over the year.
