CRE tech stacks who needs them?

Wes Snow, CEO of Ascendix

‘When I think about what makes a technology partner valuable, it’s not simply a matter of writing code or deploying the latest frameworks. It’s about making thoughtful choices—choices that ensure the solutions we deliver today will still be serving our clients tomorrow. At Ascendix, the technology stack we’ve assembled is not accidental. Every decision we’ve made reflects our experience of building products and platforms for industries where performance, scalability, and adaptability are not luxuries—they’re requirements.

At the foundation of our work, we lean on frameworks like .NET Core, Node.js, and Vue.js. These technologies allow us to develop applications that are not only powerful but flexible, whether we’re building a custom CRM interface or a real estate platform. In many cases, our clients need their systems to interact seamlessly with Salesforce or Dynamics 365, so we extend that foundation with tools like Visualforce to deliver highly tailored CRM experiences. Layered on top of this are containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, which allow us to deploy solutions consistently and scale them as our clients’ needs grow.

Cloud technology has transformed the way businesses operate, and our embrace of Microsoft Azure reflects that reality. With Azure DevOps, Blob Storage, and DocumentDB, we’re able to deliver solutions that are agile, secure, and reliable. For our clients, that means less time spent worrying about infrastructure and more time focusing on the outcomes that matter—whether that’s driving sales, managing properties, or serving their own customers more effectively.

But raw infrastructure is only part of the story. Businesses today are driven by data—how quickly you can access it, how deeply you can analyze it, and how confidently you can act on it. That’s why we’ve invested in technologies like Elasticsearch for search, Redis for in-memory caching, and Kafka for real-time messaging. These tools ensure that when a broker searches for a property, or when a CRM user pulls up client data, the information they need is there instantly, without delay.

We’ve also adopted MACH architecture—microservices, API-first, cloud-native, and headless—because our clients don’t need rigid, one-size-fits-all systems. They need solutions that evolve with them. By combining this with advanced reporting, visualization, and geospatial tools, we empower our clients not just to see their data, but to understand it and use it in ways that give them a competitive edge.

The real power of this stack comes to life in the industries we serve. In real estate, where Ascendix has deep roots, our technology underpins everything from property portals and mortgage systems to advanced CRM platforms like AscendixRE. In each case, the tools we’ve chosen allow us to deliver solutions that are fast, reliable, and designed to scale alongside our clients’ ambitions.

At the end of the day, technology is not an end in itself—it’s a means to a much greater end: helping our clients grow, compete, and succeed. The choices we’ve made in our tech stack are about more than staying current. They’re about ensuring that every solution we build is resilient, adaptable, and ready for the future.

That’s the Ascendix philosophy. It’s why we do what we do, and it’s why our clients trust us to build the platforms that power their businesses.
