London’s Mayor continues his disastrous leadership with a new U-Turn on Rent Controls

We are now all fully aware of the massive increase in knife crimes and murders in London following the so called Mayor of London’s tenure. With many calling for him to leave and poor figures to support a further few years of increased crime in London, we now have another failing with a u-turn on rental controls.

The number of knife offences in London has reached its highest level in seven years, with offences involving a knife or blade rising to 40,147 in the year leading up to March 2018” taken from Express online November 24th.

khan previously ignored calls for rental controls in London though very recent news was leaked out by a national online news channel after a letter from him to London Labour MP Karen Buck went public.

Over inflated rents and many illegal practises taking place within this sector will be a welcomed focus of attention where many genuine tenants are increasingly finding it hard to afford to pay rental costs.

The Residential Landlords Association reports on the fact that rental controls in London may hurt the rental market as it currently is already seeing falls.
