The most expensive residential sale taking place in May 2019 was of a flat in Kensington and Chelsea for £12,115,625. The cheapest residential sales in May 2019 were of terraced properties in Peterlee and Shildon, Co. Durham for £18,000.
The most expensive commercial sale taking place in May 2019 was in City of Westminster for £74,000,000. The cheapest commercial sale in May 2019 was in Newport, Isle of Wight for £200.
Of the 85,667 sales received for registration 25,392 took place in May 2019 of which:
- 459 were of residential properties in England and Wales for £1 million and over;
- 266 were of residential properties in Greater London for £1 million and over;
- 1 were of residential properties in West Midlands for more than £1 million;
- 4 were of residential properties in Greater Manchester for more than £1 million; and
- There were no residential properties in Wales for more than £1 million.
