Mortgage approvals at 8 month high in November

UK mortgage approvals rose to an eight-month high in November, a rise of 0.19% from October, according to Bank of England (BoE) lending statistics out today.
Lending secured on dwellings increased by £3.2bn in November, broadly in line with the average over the previous six months. The number of approvals for remortgaging hit an eight year high in November at 45,683 compared to 42,664 in the previous six months.
