#PropTech now an option with UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD:

What is Proptech 2021

Following a phone call from an interested start up #PropTech company looking to pitch at #PropTechDen in January 2018, I was enlightened that they were considering a placement at university regarding the study of property technology. A quick research on Google and yes indeed there it is, at Oxford University of all places “A knowledge of the future of money, markets and transactions, and possible future trends in fintech, regtech and proptech“. So, does this go to show that proptech and its importance are fast evolving and threatening to be part of the future plans in UK property?

Proptech for sure is disrupting the industry from online estate agencies rubbing up the wrong way traditional high street estate agencies to softwares eliminating the need for man power hours thus threatening to reduce the amount of staff required per agency. Most of the proptech that I am seeing all help to ease the day to day jobs of estate / letting / commercial agents, eliminating long processes thus reducing the need for many current main industry services being used and as mentioned just before, reducing the requirement of man power hours.

Dedicated university courses for proptech makes sense to me as it is a growing industry within a multi billion pound industry sector.
