Question Time: Tom Cummuskey (Marketing Manager) at Kremer Signs

Company Bio-

Kremer Signs are the UK’s leading supplier to the property market. We Design, Print, Manufacture and install a wide range of high quality signage, from For Sale boards through to Illuminated Fascia Signs. With three locations nationwide, Kremer Signs can deliver unique signage from London to Leeds, Bristol to Basingstoke – producing high quality Estate Agents For Sale Boards for clients all over the country.

Established in 1985, we’ve gone from strength to strength as our commitment to quality is matched only by our competitive pricing. We have invested in state-of-the-art digital printing facilities that allow us to generate full colour high quality signs quickly and efficiently.

We’ll take the time to develop a coordinated look for estate agent signs, matching them to their offices’ illuminated signs or general signage. From the heart of London to the smallest rural outpost, our client’s business identity will be reinforced by our high quality signage. Kremer Signs will listen to the agent’s ideas and work with them on concepts before producing their ‘For Sale’ signs or commercial signage to help them stand out from the crowd.

What sort of styles/designs are agents adopting when it comes to external and internal signs?

A very popular style of external signage at the moment is the Fret Cut option which is then back illuminated via LEDs. We have recent rolled this out for all of the Haart offices nationwide. This style of illumination gives a very clean finish to the fascia and is also a great way of maximising exposure during the darker months, as the LED lighting gives off a great effect which will help your office standout down the high street.

LED Light pockets are becoming ever more popular with agents that undergoing a refurbishment. From September through to March (The Dark Months) it is important to do everything you can to maximise exposure down the high street, and stand out from the competition, and the LED Light pockets certain do that. Naturally the human eye is drawn to light, so not only will people on the high street be drawn to your office, but the properties For Sale/To Let will be clearly advertised after office open hours, which is a big advantage to have when trying to maximise exposure for your properties.

It is not only the Window Displays that have adopted the LED illuminated look, but the office Wall Maps, Lifestyle Images & Company Logos etc, have all become subject to this current trend. This all comes back to the making your office the biggest and brightest on the High Street, in order to stand out against the competitors.

The hot colours to look out for this year and next, will be tones of Green & Purple. These two colours are very strong and we have seen a number of agents rebranding in over Spring and Summer, ready to go live with these colours to wow the market!

The latest craze when it comes to LED Illumination internal to the office is the Wall Maps. We have seen a huge rise in the past 6 months for the demand of Wall Maps supplied illuminated, with the most popular option being a Flex Face sign. A Flex Face Wall Map is a tensioned, digitally printed PVC face and then illuminated from behind via LEDs which results in an outstanding display.

What advice do you have for agents when it comes to designing their signboards?

Look to stand out from the competition. Take a look at what other agents are doing in your area, and make sure that you are standing out from the crowd and not just blending in. To achieve this, lots of agents are looking into more bespoke methods of printing estate agency boards. We are able to manufacture shaped boards which can help achieve this goal, or reflective boards, which is where the board is flooded in a reflective vinyl prior to print, which can really help maximise your boards exposure. Both of these methods are worth considering.

A great benefit of using Kremer Signs for design and manufacturing is the assurance of total brand consistency throughout all of our printed items. From residential boards through to office fascia signage and internal signage, we can replicate the same colours, fonts and proportions used on a wider range of different substrates. This is key for any agent if they are to maintain a strong company image and brand.

Additional information that is useful to Estate Agents –

Being main suppliers of signage to just the property market, we can cover every aspect of an office refurbishment. The most important part of signage to an office is the fascia sign, which is crucial to making sure your company stands out from other agents on the High Street. Fascia signage can be supplied in various styles and specs to suit the agents brand identity, and to also correspond with local council regulations.  The fascia sign can be installed with or without lighting which can also come in many different forms; from a simple Parabeam running along the top of the sign, to built up lettering with LED halo illumination.

An equally important factor to consider when undergoing a new shop fitting is the internal signage; and there are various forms of signage that can be used to give the office a look that is unique and identifies the specific agent. We can supply wall maps and wall mounted logos which can be illuminated if required which can give a very powerful brand image when inside the office. Another very important form of internal signage which can be viewed externally, are the window displays. Kremer Signs have a great range of free standing, wall mounted or cable displays that can help an agent present their existing properties up for sale or to let in a way that is easily viewable day or night because of our LED illuminated options, which gives the agents the advantage to advertise their properties after office closer at night in the dark.

By being able to supply every form of signage to the estate agency market; from boards to window displays, from site boards to fascia signage, we are able to offer the agent total brand consistency throughout; maintaining their corporate identity through their logos, colours, text styles etc. This is what sets us apart from any other supplier of fascia signage to the property market.

We also offer the design service to our clients. Where we are solely suppliers to the estate agency market, we have very good knowledge of what works and have a great understanding when dealing with an estate agent of what they are trying to achieve.

We can provide full UK coverage and a free site survey to obtain spec and sizes to allow us to give the customer an accurate quotation, and come up with to scale artwork, which give the client a better understanding of exactly how the signage will look.
