Right to Rent makes homeless a ‘non eligible’ house wife

A recent news story sees the Home Office refuse the eligibility of a Russian lady’s Irish residency card not qualifying her for ‘Right to Rent’ from the Home Office. Though she has right to live in the UK, there is a difference when it comes to rights on property, the estate agency in question is William H Brown who had to act in accordance to Home Office rules otherwise they risk legal action themselves.
The landlord industry has had and continues to see more regulations installed that tightens things further (many landlords now dumping portfolios as the profits dwindle) – Risks are greater for any failings and acts of negligence and unlawful actions.
