New data from Rightmove, the UK’s largest property platform, reveals the trends which captured the nation’s attention in 2025.

Where have people been looking?

London, Manchester, and Glasgow led the way as the most-searched-for locations in the UK, with Bristol and Edinburgh rounding out the top five.

When it comes to the capital, Wimbledon, Fulham, and Chiswick are the most-searched London locations for buyers in 2025. For renters, Canary Wharf, Clapham, and Fulham led the way.

For those looking for a sea view, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, and Worthing topped the list as the most searched for coastal areas in 2025.

And for those dreaming beyond UK shores, Spain, France, and Dubai were the most-searched-for overseas destinations, with Portugal and Italy close behind.

For those looking to buy a home, a garage is the top feature home-buyers have been searching for in 2025. An annexe is second, and a garden is third.

For renters, the most important features that tenants are using Rightmove’s keyword sort tool to search for is a home that is pet-friendly, followed by a garage, and a furnished home.
