Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association raising rents by 3.7%
Although very modest, yet for sure to effect many people’s monthly expenditures, rent rises will become an issue for residents in Paisley within an affordable housing association.
Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association are said to be looking at a 3.7% rise in rentals for tenants of it’s property to come in to play July 2019.
Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association ran a three week consultation on a proposed maximum rent increase of 3.7%. The residents of Shortroods will launch a petition in protest to the increase rentals and have been quoted as saying: “The increase proposed by the housing association is above any increase in average wages, nor does it reflect the changes to benefits impacting on many local people.” & “This so-called affordable housing is turning out to be nothing of the kind.”
