Your Estate Agency Website should have it’s own News Channel

There is no doubt that an estate agency’s website prime reason for existing is to provide house buyers a place to find property for sale and to rent and to be able to make easy contact with that said estate agency. Other than that, the more content the site holds then the better especially if the website looks professional and up to date which for many agents they will use one of the industry’s top Estate Agency Website providers to accomplish this for them.

Once we have come away from thinking just ‘property updates‘ and ‘contact details‘ we must look at what power a good quality website will offer your agency especially if you are looking to be found online by new clients and gain returning visitors to your site.

What we ideally want is that our websites are kept updated with content that matters to the agency, ie property, but also indirect contact that will achieve fresh visitors and potential leads. One great solution for achieving this is to share latest news on your website, become like a mini Estate Agency News Channel yourself, report on the kind of updates you’d read in the property section of your local newspaper, been seen as a source of local property news.

If you can find time / man power within your team then you can look to sharing at least one piece of local property news monthly, but obviously the ideal is to share news as frequently as you can, I would even say daily would be best!

Follow some simple rules:

  • Content and Social Media go hand in hand so if you do share news on your estate agency website (there will no doubt be a section in your admin area that allows you to update news / blogs) then be sure to share that to your social feeds to to increase click throughs and readership.
  • Think SEO. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) means quite simply your website being found on search engines. With this in mind, when you write your news items, think what local keywords you need to add in order that the likes of Google will pick up your news and rank in highly, what up to date keywords would people type in who’d be looking to engage with your estate agency services.
  • Keep in engaging, educational and entertaining. Simply points yet highly effective when done correctly. People have so much choice when it comes to reading online, blogs, social media posts, website and more are all trying to shout out about themselves so think outside the box. Think what title wording, what title image, what video would attract people’s attention and how should you write out your content that people find it good enough to share it with their own community and more importantly, spend long enough on your website to engage with your brand.
