How important is ‘internet speed’ when buying property in France?

There are many reasons to choose a less stress free life in France be it a permanent move or that dream holiday home, but what are the important decisions to make when it comes to which home / which area to choose?

There are the obvious such as proximity to the UK or ease of transport to and from ie being close to airports, it could be the beaches of the Mediterranean that are drawing you in of the lifestyle of living in the wine regions that pulls on your heart strings… But for many it is their communication channels which is one of the important boxes to tick when it comes to ‘where to buy in France’.

Internet access and the speed of that access is what many of our lives evolve around and this is what we take with us when choosing where to buy in France. A popular question asked about many property for sale is ‘what is the internet accessibility like’ or ‘is there broadband in the area’? Yes, many popular areas have internet and good speeds, but many Brits are looking for those rural spots where a peaceful setting is desired which sometimes makes for sacrificing the services that urban locations offer – Ultimately internet and internet speeds.
