French Property still popular after the Paris Attacks.

Support from Britons and their reluctance to be deterred following the Paris terror attacks means that French property is still very much an attractive option for many.

The France Show in London, January 29th – 31st is still showing strong figures for exhibitors within the French property Exhibition with them having to increase on the normal expected property section size. Debbie Macleod, Portoflio Director of the Archant is reported as saying: “We have increased the size of the property section due to demand and have more property exhibitors at the event, with many repeat exhibitors taking larger stands. The exhibitors are a mix of UK and France-based companies.

“We’ve not witnessed any negative impact on exhibitor demand or ticket sales following the awful events in Paris; in fact, there’s been greater demand for exhibitor space in the French Property Exhibition.

Property prices did fall during 2015 in France and combined with a seven year high GBP/EUR exchange rate meant that temptation to move to La Belle France was put on hold for many. 2016 is expected to see an increased activity in French property sales to British and overseas buyers, for retirement homes, holiday homes and investments.

Debbie Macleod : “This year sees a bigger property offering, with more exhibitors and floor space in the French Property Exhibition. This means house hunters will even more French properties to browse.
