Top agents, based on genuine customer reviews, recognised with awards

The 2016 awards recognising the UK_s top estate agents for customer service have just been announced by raterAgent, the trustworthy, transparent estate and letting agent review site.

Since its launch in April 2015, some 10,851 agents dissatisfied with existing review sites have signed up to the raterAgent scheme, which sets itself apart on the genuine nature of its customer reviews. All customer feedback undergoes raterAgent_s _Triple lock transparency check_, which includes an algorithm that takes into account a matrix of 13 x 13 fakery factors such as the author_s IP address, location and profile. For added reassurance, reviews undergo further checks by a team of (human) moderators who check each review author against electoral roll information, social media and other sources.

raterAgent has extended its ethical ethos to its annual awards scheme, now in its second year. Rather than rely on corporate sponsorship, which could leave raterAgent vulnerable to accusations of undue influence, the company self-funds the awards. This means no agent is charged an entry fee and allows everyone in the raterAgent directory to be entered automatically, making the awards totally transparent. By keeping the awards free to enter, the winners gain recognition entirely on the basis of genuine customer reviews.

After each transaction with a raterAgent-registered sales or letting agent, customers are asked to score the branch on five criteria and give an overall rating:

  • Valuation achieved
  • Speed of transaction
  • Value for money
  • Local knowledge
  • Quality of staff
  • Overall rating

Companies and individuals are then ranked according to their scores to find the best performing estate agency/lettings businesses and individuals nationally according to their customers.

Congratulations to the top three companies

And a huge well done to the individual winners for 2016

Commenting on the results, raterAgent chairman Bill McClintock said, _These are the industry awards that matter as they are based entirely on genuine reviews from customers who have experienced the agent_s service first-hand. All reviews have been verified thoroughly under our Triple Lock Transparency Check so our company and individual winners have every reason to feel proud that the exemplary service they give their customers has been recognised. We congratulate all our 2016 winners._
