Two multi-branch agents join OnTheMarket.com

OnTheMarket plc, the agent-backed company which operates the OnTheMarket.com property portal, has announced that Townends, a 21 branch estate and letting agency firm, is listing its properties at OnTheMarket.com.

Townends – owned by Nick Dunning Associates – was founded 25 years ago and now covers West and South West London, Surrey, Middlesex and North Hampshire. It offers a traditional sales and lettings service.

Also now listing at OnTheMarket.com is London estate agent Stirling Ackroyd, a seven branch sales and letting firm, another brand owned by Nick Dunning Associates.

Matt Hewitt, Commercial Director at Nick Dunning Associates, said: “Nick Dunning Associates’ brands Stirling Ackroyd and Townends are excited to be joining OnTheMarket and look forward to presenting our clients’ properties to an even wider audience.

“In an increasingly digital world it is important to be represented on all the major portals and OnTheMarket has shown itself to be gaining momentum and becoming a credible challenger to the big two!”

Helen Whiteley, Commercial Director at OnTheMarket.com, said: “Townends and Stirling Ackroyd are yet more distinguished brands in the estate agent industry choosing to support OnTheMarket.com and we look forward to helping match active property-seekers with their marketed properties.

“Their backing strengthens our position within the local markets where they operate and demonstrates the broad appeal for OnTheMarket’s proposition of an agent-backed portal.”

OnTheMarket plc announced on August 23 2018 that 10,500 agent offices were in contract with the portal, which OnTheMarket believes is approximately 57% of UK residential estate and letting agency branches.
