Nightmare ‘AirBnB invasion’ in £2.5million Kensington flat

I have used Airbnb a few times now and to be honest it is a great concept for those of us who do not want to take a hotel and would prefer our own space when we are travelling. I put on many shows across the UK and I will always turn to Airbnb to book myself a small apartment (sometimes a house as prices can be ever so economical) and I have yet to be unhappy with the quality of place I stay out at. I have heard horror stories mostly from property owners who have had the likes of the place trashed or items stolen to include one such occasion with a property in the Champagne region of France where the booking led to the whole property being cleared out from mattresses to knives and forks.

There are many examples of bad Airbnb experiences, a search on Youtube will give you a good understanding and some can simply turn you off using the platform altogether to find short term tenants!

One such further nightmare story was released on the Mail Online website where a property located in Kensignton, and was rented out via Airbnb to host a small surprise dinner party, turned out to become a gate crashed occasion with party goers arriving with many high on drugs.

Elizabeth Sterling, the flat owner, was left in an embarrassing situation with her neighbours where the normally safe and prestigious location was brought down to a noise polluted gathering ground for what was reported to be hundreds of party-goers high on drugs.
