Northumberland County Council roots out Right to Buy fraudsters
A team within the Northumberland County Council are clamping down on the scrutiny of right to buy applications with already a £900,000 saving for its taxpayers over the last six months. Many councils across the UK have also been adopting such activity and seeing a good return on their efforts and savings for tax payers.
Fraud needs to be squeezed out of the UK Property market across the UK so these incentives are a great success and should inspire all other councils across the UK to get more involved in building dedicated teams and departments as well as networking between them how best to tackle the likes of no-resident tenants, fraudulent applications for social housing and property price discounting.
