14,000 New homes for Uttlesford District Council by 2033
The push for new homes across the UK seems relatively positive across most regions and Uttlesford in Essex are hoping to add to the continued growth of new homes available with 14,000 by the year 2033 which in turn is hoped to bring with it 16,000 local jobs to the district.
The Hertfordshire Mercury reported on the story at the end of January stating that the Uttlesford Local Plan has been submitted over to the Secretary of State for the 14,000 new home plan that includes two garden communities. The 15 year plan will hopefully hit targets required for local residential needs of the community.
As prices of recent years continued to sky rocket and many families priced out of the market and even forced to move away, it is the chance for Uttlesford District Council to provide fresh property stock to the market along with affordable housing. Stock is the main concern across the UK so by adding to numbers the demand falls and so will prices which is a must for our future generations in order to give them a chance to become home owners over merely life long tenants.
Some of the 14,000 property have already been built along with plans approved for many others.
