The benefits of repair reporting.

It is commonly accepted that the cost to maintain private rented properties has dramatically increased in the past 10 years.

It is unfortunate that most of the calls made to letting agents are repairs that are not under the letting agent’s domain or can be easily repaired by the tenant.

These issues are of concern and need to be addressed. The rise in cost to repair a property has increased dramatically and this is mainly due to sending maintenance workers out for problems that are easily fixable by the tenant themselves. Many letting agents have told us that they’ve been asked just to change a light bulb for their tenant, not only this but the time spent by office staff dealing with this increasing volume of calls has meant that agents are having less and less time available to bring in new business.

This is the reason we have launched LettingFix, it allows Letting Agents and Landlords to save money and brings the letting industry into the digital age.

We have listened to customers, and taken on board what they are missing from their daily office life. What resonated was that LettingFix closes gaping holes that can swallow both time and money in an office.

LettingFix has a number of benefits above and beyond the usual repair reporting solution. A few of the additions that have particularly interested users during testing are:

Concierge – From as soon as someone signs up for a trial, the customer will be assigned a personal concierge, to assist with anything from giving an interactive tour to personally editing your LettingFix repair portal to include your branding and colours.

Mobile app – We understand that some agencies have a limited number of hard working people in that chip in and do a bit of everything. Some days you might not go into the office at all. This is why we created the LettingFix app, it will let you keep an eye on issues on the go, including push notifications so you will never miss another issue.

Service providers – some agencies are bigger and have specific maintenance workers under their employment, we offer unlimited ‘service provider’ accounts which means your maintenance worker can know where the next job is and what tools/parts are needed without returning to the office each time.

Inventory integration – We are the only repair report system that offers integration with an inventory app, so while you are completing a check out inventory and notice a problem, you can quickly report it straight away and have the maintenance worker out before you finish the inventory. This will reduce time between tenancies and ensure you get as much money as possible from each property.

With the launch in late February, customers can now try out our free web demo and register for their own repair reporting portal.
