Wallpapered supply custom map wallpaper that is created specifically for each client’s specifications. Throughout each process we get a selection of reoccurring questions being asked, so we thought we would write about these and answer them once and for all!
1. Does it come in sections?
Yes, our map wallpaper comes in strips of 52cm width, the height matching to the exact height of your wall. We print exactly to the measurements we are given, meaning a perfect fit. But if you want any more details, check our our what to expect section.
2. Can it be cleaned?
The paper we print onto is a high quality, non-woven paper that is more durable than traditional wallpaper. Small stains can be dabbed with a slightly damp cloth, and should be removable.
3. Can I have different colours?
We can use the standard OS colours for your map wallpaper, which feature subtle tones including blue water and green parks. This is a common choice as the finished effect is smart and professional. One tried and tested way to pick your ideal colours is to have a look at the Pantone colour library online, and send us the reference number. As many of our clients want their map wallpaper to feature their company branding, we can take the colours from your logo or website and use them on your map. We can also place a pin on your office location, or add your logo in a suitable place
4. Will I be able to see all the street names?
The majority of map wallpaper we make uses street level data, meaning all street names are readable. We define your area boundaries before we proceed to create your map, therefore we can advise you on how much area you can cover in relation to your wall size. If you would like to cover a larger radius, you will not be able to see street names as we will have to use the next level of data – this features main roads as well as town and city names. Which data we use will depend on your wall size and how much area you want to cover. Our team are very proficient at working alongside our clients to create their perfect map wallpaper, and proofs of the design are sent before an order is processed to ensure that it is suitable.
5. How long does it take?
Our design team can whip up a proof in a day or two, and then after our weekly print run delivery takes around 7 – 14 days depending on whereabouts in the world you are! We have international map data that can be used for any part of the world and can also ship worldwide!
