Estate Agency Interview: James Painter on using Wallpapered.

Here at Wallpapered we have just completed a brilliant project with an estate agent for a re-design of their office where we provided a stunning map wallpaper! But rather than us tell you about it, we went straight to the source to find out how their new wallpaper was settling in!

Can you introduce yourself and your business?

James Painter, Director at Terence Painter Estate Agents, Broadstairs in Kent

Why made you decide to invest in a map wallpaper?

We were refurbishing our offices and wanted to have a wall feature that would both make an impact and have a practical use.

How did you find working with Wallpapered?

The team at Wallpapered were both very helpful and patient (as we had a couple of amendments whilst trying the get the right colour match to complement our new office colour scheme). The service was speedy and efficient and the Wallpaper arrived when they said it would with everything we needed.

How has your team and customers reacted to the transformation in your office?

We have had dozens of great comments of approval for our new wall map and in gets used in a practical way too almost every day – and in fact customers were drawn to use from the very first day!

In your personal opinion how important is it that estate agents consider the interior design of their office?

Having gone through a complete re-brand and office re-fit where we re-designed the whole office we felt that it was important to think about how the public engage with the office environment, so that they can feel relaxed and at ease. The home-moving process can be very stressful so a calm and relaxed but practical and efficient office environment can be very important when clients visit your office. With a great deal of competition now from ‘on-line only’ estate agents it is important that sellers know that by having a welcoming High Street premises you have something that the on-line agencies can’t compete with. It also helps your agency to stand out from the rest and give it its own identity re-enforcing the brand. The bonus of course is that the staff have a nice working environment too!
