How to attract buyers? With a Morgan Three-Wheeler!

Michael Riley, Director of Capital & Coastal, an estate agency specialising in the sale and let of property with water frontage, sea views and coastal locations along the South coast, has invested in a rather unusual company vehicle, the Morgan Three-Wheeler. The former Head of Sales for Savills and Head of Operations for Romans in the Thames Valley, says it’s one of the best things he’s done; clients love it, the public loves it and so does he.

Step aside your average estate agent car, with its branded panels and company sales slogans. Capital & Coastal are a niche high-end agency that wanted something that would support their brand positioning. Far from wanting to conform, compete or even be practical, Mr Riley says he wanted something that would turn heads, like the properties they instruct, represent a different way of doing things and appeal to those thrill-seeking, life-loving house-hunters that the coastal property market attracts.

Mr Riley comments “What better way to view properties and their stunning south-coast surrounds than blasting along (within the speed limit) with the sea-air in your hair, being chauffeur driven in one of Britain’s most iconic cars?”

This unusual choice of company vehicle has sparked such interest that Mr Riley now takes it to open-house events and parks it outside as an additional attraction. “Even if people aren’t consciously coming to view the property, most people that walk past the car can’t help investigate what’s going on, especially since we take quite a transatlantic approach to our open-house days. They are a real event with flags, swing boards and information packs…and of course now, the Morgan three-wheeler.”

It’s always amusing and a great conversation starter when you park the Morgan alongside a Ferrari and the Morgan gets more attention.” he adds.
