Countrywide “Building our Future”

Countrywide plc is  the UK’s largest integrated property services group, they  announced last week that they have  made a series of Managing Director and Director level appointments within their Retail and London business units. The appointments cover both the wider UK retail team and Countrywide’s London business unit and are part of the ongoing implementation of the ‘Building our Future’ strategy.

They say on their website that ‘Building our Future’ involves a restructuring of the business, driving greater emphasis on customer focus and organic growth by leveraging our combined sales and lettings offering through one cohesive Retail team. Our restructure is a key element of the plan to double the size of the Group over the coming five years.

Commenting on the appointments, Alison Platt, CEO of Countrywide, reportedly said: “Today’s appointments mark another step forward for Countrywide as we build for our future. We have recognised the importance of ensuring the entire company is working together and by putting this regional and divisional structure in place, including bringing together responsibility for sales and lettings at a regional and local level for the first time, we believe we will be able to better serve our customers and deliver greater organic growth. It is particularly pleasing that we have retained and been able to promote such great Countrywide talent internally and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our new Managing Directors and Regional Directors. I look forward to working with them at this exciting time in Countrywide’s evolution.”
