Landlords under the spotlight
A new scheme for tenants to check their private landlords has been launched by the National Landlords Association, it was announced by Richard Lambert CEO of the NLA at the Chartered Institute of Housing’s annual South West Conference yesterday.
The scheme is voluntary and will enable tenants to check if their landlord is accredited.
Mr Lambert is quoted as saying in a recent report “There is more pressure on improving standards in the private rented sector than ever before and we’re trying to lead the way for landlords to become accredited, which is a huge challenge because currently there’s no fundamental need to do so.
