London house prices still falling.

House prices in London appear to be detached from the rest of the UK, according to the RICS they are still falling, more surveyors reported that property prices had fallen in the three months to the end of February than those who reported price rises. the opposite being true in the rest of the country. There has been strong house price growth in London from the beggining to the middle of last year, the oncoming election appears to creating uncertainty and London appears to be affected the most.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors reported that house price growth accelerated in the South West of England and South East of England, this was mainly the result of a lack of supply of homes on the market. Recent surveys by lenders, the Nationwide and the Halifax, suggested that prices fell on average across the UK in February compared with the previous month.
