Rogue Estate Agent in Watford fined £70,000

More tidying up of the industry as we see another rogue estate agent gaining a £70,000 fine due to letting out dangerous properties even after his licence was withdrawn – Big punishments are needed in order to boot this out of the industry so this latest news will be well received from those professionals that adhere to the ‘rules’.

A muhammid Siddique was found guilty with a long list of 15 separate offences that related to three illegally established houses on Whippendell Road that contained with multiple occupancy dating back to December 2017.

The online estate agency Open House was used (no real fault of them), the said found guilty person hiding behind a franchise of the concept even though his right to practise was terminated by them in 2016 due to his failure to adhere to “strict customer care and compliance procedures”.

Quite literally, the said excused exhibited all that is wrong with the industry, over crowding, illegally practising, posing health and safety risks and more… Full story can be read on the Watford Observer website.
