The Latest Tri-Month Landlord Insights

Understanding landlord insights can assist you with making the right decisions for your financial health as a property owner. The BVA BDRC Landlord Panel has performed thorough research into the topic of property ownership in 2021, and uses this data to present predictions for the upcoming 3 month period.

Landlord confidence levels have been slowly but surely declining after experiencing a 5 year high, likely due to the economic effects of the pandemic. However, this assurance in the industry is expected to rise in 2022 as individuals and organisations recover from various lockdown related difficulties. At least 56% of landlords expect to have confidence in their rental yields, which proves that the struggles of 2021 are soon to be over and done.

All but 29% of landlords expect to make a profitable full time living from theri rental yields in the upcoming tri-month period, but a dramatic 56% strongly believe that their letting efforts will comfortably boost their income. The average rental yield is set to be around 6%, while the average landlord portfolio will feature 6.9 properties.
