A typical day for any Estate Agent involves spending large amounts of the day out and about at property viewings, so working on the road has made mobile devices like smartphones and handheld tablets a necessity to keep in touch.

There are not many industries that haven’t been affected by the development of innovative business apps and there are more tools than ever before that can make the life of an estate or letting agent that much easier.

1. Google Maps

Google Maps is a must-have for every real estate agent. When clients are ready to visit a list of potential properties, Google Maps is an indispensable tool in your pocket, guiding you to the next address.

Create unlimited folders for your company: listings, buyers, potential clients, forms, buyer and seller presentations, etc. Access them from any computer (via the Dropbox website) or from your smartphone or tablet and share documents and folders with the click of a button. 5. Cam Scanner

8. Zoopla and Rightmove

When people start their searches for a new home to rent or buy then the two biggest websites are Rightmove and Zoopla. Zoopla and Rightmove are the must-have apps that offer comprehensive listings, as well as local information and property history. There are additional benefits for agents; if you are a Rightmove member then your property listings will always be accessible to home-hunters, even when they are on the move, via Rightmove’s mobile platforms, so by using the Rightmove real time feed (managed through your software supplier) this will allow you to harness the latest technology to market your properties online straight away.

9. Plan Up, formerly known as The Mobile Agent (Floor Plans)

Designed to be used by non-technical people, Plan Up is simplicity itself. 10. TouchRight Software (Property Reports)
