UK property transactions drop for end of 2018
Property Transactions Count report from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) showed us that the negative vibe on property here is still quite vulnerable as latest figures show a drop (0.1%) towards the end of 2018.
The provisional figures for December 2018 showed 102,330 residential sales across the UK with a larger drop on non residential sales showing 11,230 which is 11.5% down from the previous month.
Reports also show recently that confidence in purchasing by landlords has dropped with 25% saying they are planning to decrease their portfolio sizes. Another important factor to add to buy to let momentum is that rental yields are much less attractive at an average of just 5.6% which sees them hitting the lows of three years back.
