North Yorkshire County Council sells off £12 million of Property
North Yorkshire County Council was said to have made £12 million by selling off property and land in its portfolio over a four and a half year period. The sale of real estate included 68 public buildings and spaces between January 2014 and July 2018 with the biggest sale being New House Farm in Ryedale which sold for £1.5 million.
On the lesser valued property a total of six properties were sold off for just £1 each!

Grafton Lodge Farm lots 1 to 3, Stape – £465,000
Norton Grove Waste Transfer station site, Harrogate – £380,000
Baliol School, Sedburgh (main building) – £376,000
Malton Depot, Malton – £358,186
