Boris Johnson further punishes Bars & Restaurants via underhand extension

Estate Agency during covid19

The wood from the trees is suddenly appearing more and more clearer for many people as the government continue their military style lock down. From new deadly strains to sitting on park benches could kill you, the government is running out of excuses and yet still are surfing on their wave of supremacy in thinking no matter what they chuck at the public they will accept it.

The fake press, as more and more people are calling them (BBC loses 256,000 TV licence fees in 2020), continue to spread the fear, no matter who dies, and how, the covid-19 tag is put upon them (despite official government figures showing conflicting data), the R rate is no longer applicable, we have lost the flu and cold stats and even the police are taking up politics by arresting one of the London Mayor candidates (Brian Rose) for campaigning within legal guidelines and yet leave other candidates to run free – Oh, and here is £500, says Boris, if you take a covid-19 test and achieve a positive result… Welcome to 2021, the saga after George Orwell’s 1984.

So restaurants and bars who are currently on their knees can now enjoy another kick in the teeth from the government as it was leaked that Boris would like to adjust the date for them to re-open from May to July (though we all know that 2021 will not be ever a date that will show on a receipt at a restaurant or bar in the UK).

I have done my best for nearly a year with this yoyo game from the government, I have lost money in custom and thrown money in to my business so to keep it afloat ready for the day we re-open. With this new game that Boris is playing by continuation of delays to our open date, I can confirm I have had enough both in mental ability to deal with it and, with a greater effect to my family, financially ruined.” A recent message on WhatsApp from a bar owner friend in London.

This is no longer political. This is not anything to do with whether or not you like Boris or loathe him, that you voted Conservative, Labour or Brexit Party, this is simply a mental game that is being played out with no solid evidence of its justification. Children and adults are suffering. Many will know of someone that has had covid-19 so we are not playing the ‘I do not believe it is real‘ card, but on a virus that has seen under 400 people across the country die directly from it with no underlying health conditions (Flu was reported to have killed 50,000 in the UK back in 2017-18 as officially stated by government) the actions are totally out of proportion.

Countries around the world are waking up to what is happening and what lies ahead, especially for business – clashes between the public and police are taking place from Canada to Russia as well as across Europe (most no reported on main stream media though shown on social media) – Italy holds strong to defy the demands from the government by re-opening bars and restaurants with some 40,000 opening their doors and offering people a glimpse of what normal life is about.

More and more suicides are occurring due to the lock-downs, this will only increase as for the remainder of 2021 most of us will be under house arrest – I am hearing from more and more people, including myself, the hardship of our current lifestyle and strain on our relationships with those we are not allowed to see. I am still yet to know of anyone who has died directly from covid-19 though I know of one or two who have had covid-19 and recovered to include my 93 year old grandfather at his care home – I can though say I know of people who have committed suicide during the lock-down that no-one expected and these are all younger people.

UK is becoming a laughing stock with many global news channels reporting on the conditions within the country and the actions of the government / police, it has become the example of what can happen if things get out of hand in controlling things. The public are being tossed about with conflicting news stories, most of which are set to scare people, top medical advisors disagreeing with the lock-downs are having their voices silenced (Twitter being the biggest political party administering this).

So, what can we expect next from the government as there is little else they can throw at us?
