The Best Time to Sell your House

When it comes to selling your house (or flat) then there are many differing opinions as to when is the best time of the year to do so. Most occasions you will see recommendations between February and June as the optimum time to list your property with your local estate agency though also we see some advising to do so in early Autumn for those looking to move in before Christmas.

It is generally accepted that January is the worse month along with mid summer months mostly August (mostly due to people being on holiday). December also gets listed as a bad month though people do tend to spend a lot of time researching property during the Christmas and New Year holiday period with many of the large online property portals claiming this period to be their most busiest with visitors / searches.

We must also consider the financial climate with regards to when is best to sell as this will also effect when you should be listing your  property – We must consider that in most cases, the correctly priced, desirable property will sell no matter what the month!

What the best day of the week to list your property is you can also find discussed online with early week being better from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon.
