Premium global estate agency opens up a new office in Perth

International premium estate agency, Fine & Country have further expanded their global reach with the opening of their latest office in Perth, Australia. While the business began operation in Perth during January, their Western Suburbs flagship office will officially open its doors in July this year.

According to Amy Gohil, Director at Fine & Country Perth, the aim is for the flagship office to have a team of least eight real estate agents, three admin staff and a property management team handling residential leases. Their core focus will be on the premium residential markets in Perth’s Western Suburbs. However, she notes that the office is currently looking at recruiting more experienced real estate professionals, with a two-year expansion plan for further offices across Western Australia.

“Despite the downturn in the Western Australia housing market over the past year, we believe that Perth’s housing market has bottomed out and we are very optimistic about the future. This is a great point of entry for Fine & Country with potential uplift in the market for 2019. Economists predict that property values should rise by five per cent this year, and a further three per cent in 2020 due to better economic conditions,” says Gohil. “While it is cyclically at a low point right now, we see positive indicators such as developers starting builds on new projects and strong sales in the premium residential markets. Strong and unique businesses find a way to grow, regardless of the market conditions.”

According to Gohil, being a part of an internationally recognised brand will help their business grow. “Perth is the most remote city in the world, and as part of the Fine & Country network, we are able to connect international buyers to Perth and showcase properties globally. We also recognise that luxury properties require a more tailored marketing approach and higher quality materials, which is why we will take advantage of Fine & Country’s award-winning marketing service. These are proven marketing techniques to get the best price for our clients.”

David Lindley, CEO of Fine & Country said: “We are pleased to welcome another international office into the Fine & Country network. Fine & Country is one of very few international residential estate agencies to operate in Perth and we are eager to see the brand’s growth and development in the region.”

Gohil adds that Perth has a wide variety of properties such as new-build luxury apartments, large detached houses and heritage ‘federation’ style homes with a 1.5 to 2-million-dollar median house price depending on the suburb.  “Perth attracts people from all walks of life. We have many families, retirees and high-level executives in the area. In fact, Perth has more self-made millionaires per capita than any other city in the world, which is another reason the premium residential sector has remained buoyant in a turbulent market,” she says.

Continuing, Gohil says that Western Australia is one of the ‘richest’ areas for natural resources and mining of major commodities, such as Iron Ore, Petroleum, Gold and more recently Cobalt. “The thriving mining industries attract a consistent influx of people into the area, with Perth’s population expected to double in the next 30 years. This will continue to create demand within the property sector, which in turn will assist the market to recover and prosper,” Gohil concludes.
